Lesly and Kurt: Engaged! Montana Engagement Pictures

I’ve been eager to post this set! Lesly and Kurt are friends of mine – I’ve known them both quite a while. Contrary to a lot of photographers, I like working with friends.
These two are getting married here in Helena in May – I can’t wait for the wedding!

Missoula Engagement Session: Jasa and Dave

I got the chance to travel to Missoula a few weekends back and shoot some engagement pictures for Jasa and Dave. I’m looking forward to their wedding next summer! We hung out at the University of Montana campus some, and then we headed over to a favorite hangout of theirs, the Kettle House Brewery.

These guys are a ton fun, and we had a good time just hanging out. You can tell it’s true love when a photo session breaks out in a spontaneous karate fight.

Angela and Andy: Engament Session at Flathead Lake, MT

Or an alternate title: How to dress for your engagement session. More on that in a minute.

Angela and Andy came up from Arizona to shoot their engagement pictures at Lakeside (just outside Kalispell). When Angela contacted me she told me she wanted to do something with a bit of a JCrew catalog look for their session – and I think they pulled it off pretty darn well! I always love shooting sessions that have a bit more of a fashion edge to them – especially when I get to end up shooting on a boat…! (you’ll have to wait for the full post to see those)

But back to the outfit comment – these guys did a stellar job of picking outfits that complemented each other well – and they looked awesome! I think dressing up like this for engagement sessions adds a lot to shoot – and I think you can have a lot of fun doing it!

And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for… A few selections from the session. I’ll post some more when I get them finished up. In the meantime – leave them some love in the comment section!

Emilie and Josh – Engagement Sneak Peek

On Sunday I had the great pleasure of taking Emilie and Josh out around Helena to shoot a few engagement photos. Springtime weather here in Montana is, well….. unpredictable, to say the least. But, we caught a nice break in the weather, and had fun getting some engagement pictures done for them. I’m so glad the weather played nice, since Josh came down from his home up in Kalispell so we could do them!

So, just a little sneak peek to tide you over… Can’t wait for your wedding in September! Oh, and one of these pictures I posted just for you, Josh…….

Jade and Ryan – Bozeman Montana Engagement Session

Hey there everyone! Well, it is getting to be that time of year again here in Montana. You know, that time of year where it seems like spring at least 3 days a week? Well, we happened to catch one of those days a couple weeks back when I went to Bozeman to shoot Jade and Ryan’s engagement pictures. It was sunny, and (mostly) warm, and we had fun wondering around downtown Bozeman. I love working in Bozeman, and it always makes me miss when I loved there a few years back.

Jade and Ryan will be getting married later in the year over in Missoula, at a cool venue that will make for a beautiful fall wedding. I’ve wanted to shoot a wedding at Heritage Hall for a while now, so I am excited to get the chance!

You should start seeing a lot more posts coming soon, as we things start to get real busy around here again in the next few weeks. Can’t wait!

Check out these fun images from Jade and Ryan’s session… and be sure to leave them some love while you are here. The square format images were shot on Kodak’s New Portra 160 120 format that I just finally got the chance to try. I love it!

Lindsey and Sage: Engagement Session! Montana Wedding Photographer

Ok, so I just had to post a few of the engagement photos from Lindsey and Sage’s session we did a couple weeks back. We went to just a couple places near Helena, including a lovely spot up in the mountains. We got lucky and picked a perfect fall afternoon for our adventures!

I’m already looking forward to their wedding next year – I love to get to see new places!

Brenda and Patrick: Seeley Lake Engagement

Finally starting to get caught up on the sessions I’ve done recently! Slowly but surely… I had the chance to go to Seeley Lake, MT a little while back and do an engagement session for Brenda and Patrick. They had recently flown up from California to work on some details for their wedding next summer (which sounds like it might be up at Big Mountain!), and so we met at Patrick’s family cabin in Seeley Lake for their session.

My wife came along for the ride (thanks Grandma for watching the kiddos!), and we had a great time just hanging out with these guys. Oh, and did I mention we shot a few pictures, too?

I really hope you enjoy the pictures – we all had a good time in the making of them, I think. I can’t wait until next year for the wedding guys!

Kaitlin and Garrett: Engaged! Helena, Montana

So, you had a chance to see the sneak peek from Kaitlin and Garrett’s engagement session… Now it’s time for the big post! Kaitlin and Garret came down to Helena from Great Falls to do their session. I am so excited for their wedding coming up in September down at The Woodlands in Bozeman.

As mentioned in their sneak peek, they had their dog Luna along for the ride… She makes a guest appearance in this set as well.

We had such a fun time hanging out at some of my favorite locations around town. The light was perfect, the couple was perfect, what more could you want?

Helena Engagement Session Sneak Peak: Kaitlin and Garrett

OK, so I’ll admit the title might be a bit long winded… But the pictures will more than make up for it, I promise!

Kaitlin and Garrett came down on Saturday from Great Falls to shoot their engagement session here. They are getting married in September at The Woodlands down in Bozeman (and I can’t wait!). We wandered all around downtown Helena, as we as to a couple of my favorite little outdoors places…

They also brought their trusty pooch, Luna, whom you will see featured at the end.

Just a couple ones that jumped out at me while I was editing through them – there will be lots more when to post when I get them finished! Let Kaitlin and Garret know how awesome they look and leave them some comment lovin’…

Bozeman Wedding Photographer: Josh and Kathy

Ok, so we had that little sneak peek from Josh and Kathy’s session a little while back. Well, are you ready for more fun? If you didn’t see the other pic, you can see them here.

As we mentioned before, Josh and Kathy run Lockie Photography down in Bozeman. They also shoot quite a few weddings, and I am thrilled to be doing their wedding photography for them down in Bozman this July. Not only that, I will also be IN the wedding. Josh is a great friend of mine, and I am honored to be a part of their big day! How are we going to manage all this? Well, with the help of my super talented second shooter Janna, of course!

We had a great time shooting their engagement session here in Helena. You’ll probably notice that some of these pictures are a little more goofy than what you usually see. Like I said, we had fun, and some of these are just for the sake of fun.
