Why I would love to go to WPPI…

For those of you that don’t know, WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) is the largest photo trade show in the photo industry. It ahppens every year in March, and it’s always in Vegas. And every year, I forget about it until it is right here…

I’d love to go to WPPI for several reasons, probably the biggest of which is all the stuff you can learn! There are classes put on by industry leading pros on just about every topic immaginable. I don’t think there is any other time or place where there is as much knowledge available at one time. That alone would make it worth it!

Also, the trade show at WPPI is where all the vendors put all the products on display… Which is awesome, because it would help us select some of the best (and the coolest) products to offer to you, our clients!

Finally, I think it would just be awesome to meet some of the people in persone whom I’ve met online through various photo websites I particapte in. It is always good to meet new people, and rub shoulders with some of the best of the best out there!

I know I’ll make it there sometime soon. I think it could really be inspiring to get a glimpse of all the different things that are out there and going on outside our beautiful state of MT. :)

Thanks to everyone who took the time to check out the pictures and vote for their favorites! It looks like Kendall and Ryan’s picture (#21) managed to get the most votes, so they win their choice of a free 1 hr photoshoot ($150 value) or $100 in free prints. Sara: Model Session

So, my friend Josh Lockie from Lockie Photography came up to Helena a couple weekends ago just to hang out, and we decided to try and just do a fun model session for kicks and giggles… Posted an update on Facebook that we were looking for someone on short notice, and Sarah stepped up to the plate. And did a great job as well!

I’ve just got a few images I wanted to share from this, and I think Josh may have some soon as well. Hope you enjoy them, and thanks again Sara!

Just some quick news…

Just wanted to post a couple things quickly:

#1 – Please come see us at the Helena Wedding Showcase on the 18th! We’d love to see you… Which leads to #2…

#2 – We’re going to be giving away an iPod nano at the Showcase! You have to come to the booth to register, but you don’t have to be present to win…

#3 – Janna’s schedule is completely booked through the end of the year. She isn’t taking any more sessions until after New Years at this point, but you can get on a list for a cancellation if you want… But don’t wait!

#4 – I am very nearly booked through the end of the year as well… I have a couple of openings left for sessions, but that’s it. So, if you are wanting pictures done in 2009, time is short. Just trying to give y’all heads up!

#5 – Just a reminder that November 15th is the cutoff for orders if you want them in time for Christmas…

#6 – Just a friendly reminder that dates are filling up quickly for the 2010 wedding season. Don’t want anyone to get left out! Remember, we need a signed contract and a retainer from you in order to hold your date!

#7 – Well, I just thought that an good list should have an odd number of things on it, so here ya go!

Hi Chris Rebo blog followers. I am Janna Beecher. I am so excited to be working with Chris! I have spent the last couple years mainly photographing kids and families, but this opportunity now to work with Chris is really exciting for me and I am really looking forward to it. So, you’ll be hearing a lot from me on this blog and I look forward to meeting many of you who we have upcoming sessions with.

Here’s a post of some of the latest work. This was such a great family to work with. Can’t you just tell that this little girl is so loved?

I almost forgot to post this… We’ll be at the Helena Wedding Showcase that’s coming up in October. We’re going to have a great display, and some fun giveaways… As well as some killer promotions that you’ll only know about if you show up.
