Canadian wedding…

Ok, folks, time for another blog post – this one will be a little longer than some.  Got to go up to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan (yes, it is a real place) and shoot Stacey and Josh’s wedding.  Had a ton of fun with these guys – they scheduled a lot of time for us to do pictures with just the two of them, so you’ll see a lot of those here.

A side note about how much time you schedule for your portraits – as I always tell our clients – the more time you give us the more creative we can be.  However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t get great images when we have only a few minutes – for this wedding we only had about 10-15 minutes with the couple, and I think we did ok.  :)   On the other hand, Stacey and Josh had almost 2 hours set aside for us to use – which was great!  In the end, we finished early, as we had gotten everything we wanted, and it was very hot…

Special shout out to Jeremiah for tagging along on this wedding and rocking it with me.  12hrs of shooting after 4 hours of sleep is something worth commending.  :)

On to the pictures!

Beautiful wedding on Whitefish Lake!

I love these guys.  Seriously.  I had the chance to meet Brenda and Patrick last summer in Seeley Lake when I did their engagement session – and I’ve been looking forward to the wedding ever since. They got married at the beautiful Lodge at Whitefish Lake.  We had a perfect summer afternoon for the wedding – couldn’t have asked for better!  Whitefish is beautiful any time of year, but especially in the summer.

I love it when couples have details that are personal and meaningful to them, and not just for the sake of having details.  Wedding photographers generally love lots of beautiful details to shoot, but I think it is always better when it is personal.  For instance, the wings on Brenda’s bouquet belonged to her father.

Lots of thanks to Jeremiah and Rachel for tagging along and helping out.  Also, got the chance to work with Moonstone Pictures – highly recommend them!

And now to the main event – the pictures!  Congrats Brenda and Patrick!

Ok, back to business here on the blog!  Going to be lots of fun stuff coming up soon.  But first off we have Caitlin and Eric’s beautiful wedding that was held at the Collins Mansion in Great Falls, Montana.  They came back to Great Falls from Seattle to get married on what turned out to be a perfect summer day.  We couldn’t have asked for better!

Also, you may notice in this set a few images that look a little different than some of the things we usually do.  I had Andy and Angie Wood shooting this wedding with me, so we played around a did a few different things.  We had a ton of fun working with Caitlin and Eric, and I think we got some great images!

So, without further ado, here are some images from Caitlin and Eric’s big day.  Enjoy!

Our latest wedding from here in Helena!

I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for a while.  Megan and Matt are a lot of fun, and I knew their wedding would be no exception.  We did their engagement session in Great Falls last summer, and their wedding was here in Helena at St. Peter’s Cathedral.  The Montana spring weather even gave us a little break and played nice for most of the day – what more could we ask for?

I had a hard time narrowing down this set as far as I did – so there are a lot more images than normal posted for you to enjoy.  From the getting ready part of the day to the birdseed filled exit from the church – I just couldn’t let any go.  Take a peek at the pics, and please leave some love for Megan and Matt.  Congrats guys!
