Ok, so it wasn’t your usual wedding.  Christine and Adam came down from Alberta to elope at the courthouse here in Helena.  I had the chance to go out with them beforehand and get some pictures!  We just went out to get some fun and relaxed portraits for them to remember their special day by.  And that’s exactly what we did!

I’ve posted just a few of my favorites for you to take a peek at – hope you enjoy them!

If you’ve already skipped ahead and looked at the images, then you know we had a LOT of fun at this wedding.  Bethany and Winston were married at Big Sky Chapel, in Big Sky, Montana.  Their wedding was simple and tasteful, and oh, did I mention fun?  The reception happened at Bucks T4 Lodge, which is just outside of Big Sky.  We had perfect spring weather (it had been pouring for days…) so we took advantage of it.

Winston and Bethany wanted a little more relaxed, fun approach to the day.  As you can see, that’s just who they are.  The necklace Bethany was wearing was made from a pendant that her Great (or maybe Great-Great?) Grandfather had worn.  Pretty cool!

Marie and Jeff came up to beautiful Ennis, Montana for their simple and fun destination wedding.  They came from the Boise, Idaho area, with friends and family coming from as far away as Tennessee!  The setting for the event was the beautiful El Western Resort.

Marie had one of the most unique pieces of jewelry – an engagement bracelet!  It was handmade by an artist in Alaska, I think.  The same artist the wedding band in the image below.

This post has been a long time in the making.  But I’ll explain that in a minute…  Kaitlin and Garrett were married last September at The Woodlands, just outside beautiful Bozeman, Montana.  We could not have asked for a more beautiful day, nor a couple more in love.  We had a great time with them right from the start (see their engagement photos here and here) and their wedding day was no exception.  They were fun, relaxed, and well….. awesome!

Also have to say thanks to Abby from Icing on the Cake Events, who planned and designed the event.  The details were personal and gorgeous, and the event went off without a hitch.  To be honest, I think we were actually ahead of schedule all day!  We had a great time working with her, and I know Kaitlin and Garrett did as well.

So, why am I just now posting a wedding from September?  Well, we decided to see if we could get this event published, which can take a little time.  However, Rocky Mountain Bride published it in the real weddings section of their website, which you can see here.  So, it was worth the wait!

And now on to what you have all been waiting for – the pictures!  Stay tuned for another post coming very soon that showcases Kaitlin and Garrett’s beautiful wedding album.  Oh, and feel free to tell them how good they looked, even if it is 9 months later…

We are excited to let you all know that we were recently invited to join The Little Black Book on Style Me Pretty!  In case you don’t already know, Style Me Pretty is one of the premier national wedding blogs, along with some of the others like the Wedding Chicks, Green Wedding Shoes and Junebug Weddings.  All of these are great places to find ideas and inspiration for your wedding, but Style Me Pretty has always been my favorite – the work they showcase is always amazing, and most closely fits in with the kind of work we do.

The Little Black Book is the vendor guide on Style Me Pretty, which features some of the very best wedding vendors each area.  Most of the vendors are hand picked and invited to join – after being recommended by another vendor or vendors.  Before being invited you have to pass an internal review by the SMP staff, and then also a review by some of the top vendors on The Little Black Book.  If you get a thumbs up from everyone, then you get an invite.

All that to say that we are proud to be the first photographer in Montana to be in the Little Black Book, as well as featured in the Idaho section of the book.  We look forward to connecting to even more future brides using this very well thought out guide – you can’t go wrong with vendors in the Little Black Book.

Anyhow, just a little bit of news I thought I’d share.  We’ve been busy shooting a lot the last couple weeks, so there will be lots of new work to see very shortly!
